 DIANE VON FURSTENBERG emerged as a force in 1972 with her iconic wrap dress, symbolizing women's freedom & style.  After a hiatus, Diane reintroduced the wrap dress in the early 90's and it's popular & flattering for almost all figure types to this day.  She is reputed to be one of the best designers showcasing a woman's figure.  Her designs are sold exclusively at Saks Fifth Ave, Neiman Marcus, & Bloomingdales.  

 LA IDOL is best known for it's fleur de lis details and jeweled back pockets which add dimension to an otherwise less than bootyliscious booty.There are lots of other jeans here, KITSON, LEVEL 99, 7 FOR ALL MANKIND, LIUCE'S, PEPE, and more.  All are stylish, hip and now.

 TADASHI SHOJI is a true artist.  He came to Los Angeles for vacation in the 70's and never left.  He took his artistry to clothing, designing special occasion wear (there's always a special occasion going on in LA) using flowy chiffon and unexpected details.  His line sold at Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, and Saks Fifth Ave is known simply as TADASHI. 

 RALPH LAUREN was initially a high quality tie designer that launched the Polo label.  Epitomizing the "Annie Hall" look, he began designing for women in the 1970's, employing the same timeless elegance as used in his menswear.  Primarily following a western theme, he uses uniformly high-quality tweeds in his tailored down jackets and trousers, and his shirts are made from the finest cotton.  His fashion has changed very little over the years but continues to represent long-lasting quality and style.

 EMANUEL UNGARO initially worked for Balenciaga in Paris in the 60's.  His clothing is full of color, mixed patterns and elegant drapings.  He has an international reputation for unique color combinations, unexpected motifs, and sleek silhouettes.

 ESCADA was originally from Germany.  His 1st Couture Collection was introduced in the US in 1995 under the creative consulting of Todd Oldham.  Their style is classic and tailored, in earth tones with excellent workmanship and interesting details.

 PRADA:  The house of Prada started in Italy in 1913 making handbags of exceptional quality & workmanship.  To this day, their handbags stand up to that original reputation.  In the late 80's Prada introduced a fashion line known for it's simple yet provocative sleek lines and luxurious fabrics, mostly in colors of blacks, browns, grays & creams.

 BOB MACKIE:  He's probably best known as Cher's designer.  Beads & fringe & lots of bells & whistles are some of his trademarks, but he does classic gowns with small embellishments almost better than anyone else.

 DANA BUCHMAN originally started designing with Liz Claiborne.  After 5 years she started her own line known as "The Bridge Collection", primarily knits mixed w/ silk aimed at a broader market.  Generally her style is classic & simple - though she does do some high-end pieces that are more flowing.

JESSICA MCCLINTOCK is from San Francisco & originally designed with Gunne Sax during the hippie movement.  In the 90's, formal wear became a new trademark, veering away from linen & lace to more of a retro & nostalgic gown with a sense of mystery.  She is best known for her sense of glamour
